Tamara Willems

in harmony, yes with this …

“I want, in fact – to borrow from the language of the saints -to live ‘in grace’ as much of the time as possible. I am not using this term in a strictly theological sense. By grace I mean an inner harmony, essentially spiritual, which can be translated into outward harmony…”    ~ Anne Morrow Lindbergh

To live in grace
to wasting wisely my days
to sitting outside in the early morning sunshine,
with my love
coffee and a rather large book
to bare feet brushing gently against the dog
pink polka-dot toes buried in the blackest of fur
to the many voices of the birds as they
chitter away the morning’s news
to a visit with the flowers, greeting each one
and gladly admiring their
beautiful faces
to the magic of spiders and bees
and other little flying things
that dance
to monarchs and hummingbirds who instinctively stop me in my doing
to a stillness,
fascination
and smiles
to sunshine on shoulders
skin
sensuous, sultry and warm
inviting the touch of cool
lips
to taste
and the softest of breezes
whispering kindnesses
to caress
to a quick kiss
good-bye
to quiet,
contemplation

to the kitchen, and
to baking
to the chocolatey scent of
cookies in the oven
spreading their centres wide
freely, oozing their goodness
without a fear of
losing
to laughter, to love
and to kindness
to birds, and to bees
to flowers
and
to you
and to never wasting a days
I love you

to words, and to windows
and
to wonder

to live in grace, as much of the time as possible

to wisely wasting my days
beautifully,
lovingly, kindly, deliciously
and

exactly as simply
as
this  ♥
