One of the blessings I guess of working long hours
\nof rather strenuous physical work, is just how very much I appreciate a day off
\nTo not waking myself far too early before even the sun deems it necessary to be awake
\nto a slow stretching, returning circulation to my \u00a0hands and fingers, to rising gently, trying not to wake my husband, as he comes to bed much later than I
\nTo a leisurely sit, coffee and my book while the house breathes quiet
\nand then my love joins me here, to much the same
\nTo periodically pausing in our reading, each of us lost in the flow of words
\nto smile at each other
\nAnd then to the great luxury of a day of one\u2019s
\nchoosing
\nTo the ever hopeful re-dedication of my yoga practice
\nto consciously breathing deep
\nand
\nslow
\nTo replenishing with the beautiful, simple clearness of water
\nand grace
\nAnd to sitting once again, rooted of sorts
\nattempting to put down a few words that seem to be floating through me
\nIn gentle waves of inspiration
\nor longing
\nor

\nAnd to the glorious healing power

\nKindnesses
\nregardless of arrows being

\nwith large-ish
\nreverberations<\/p>\n
\nand things to be grateful for
\nand not expect
\nto welcome awareness and presence
\nand always to remain open
\nto surprise and
\nto
\ncelebration<\/p>\n
\nand feeling
\neach time the world
\ngraciously
\nsmiles

\nin genuine compassion
