A fresh spring morning,
\na little cloud, a little sun
\nbut I don\u2019t think I\u2019ll be in the garden today,
\nbecause my finger won\u2019t straighten
\nand my arm feels
\ntwisted, achy and sore
\nOutside my window the forsythia blooms
\nin a brilliant bright yellow
\neven without the sun, she shines
\nat her feet a gathering of little bowed heads
\nin beauteous blue
\nI take this in,
\nand I smile
\nThis has me thinking
\nin blueberries and lemons
\nso, instead\u00a0of outdoors, I head to the kitchen
\nto do some baking
\nbecause I think at the very least,
\nI can manage a spoon<\/p>\n
Today I am gathering wishes,
\nI wish to be someone who bakes something nice
\nthat adds a bit of
\nsweetness to your day
\nto make
\nyou smile<\/p>\n
I wish to be someone who speaks from the heart
\nright at the time of feeling
\neven though it makes you laugh
\nor me seem
\nsilly
\nto say it anyway, because that
\nis how

I wish to everyday
\nin my own small way to put something
\nwonderful into the wind
\nand when it reaches you

\na whisper
