{"id":1319,"date":"2017-06-09T15:27:39","date_gmt":"2017-06-09T19:27:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tamara.tedzplace.ca\/?p=1319"},"modified":"2017-06-09T15:27:39","modified_gmt":"2017-06-09T19:27:39","slug":"to-always-remaining-a-beautiful-sopping-sponge","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tamara.tedzplace.ca\/?p=1319","title":{"rendered":"to always remaining a beautiful sopping sponge"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This morning after a read of my book,\u00a0 I listen to a Ted talk by the inimitable Anne Lamott:\u00a0<em> 12 Truths I learned from life and writing<\/em>.\u00a0\u00a0 I love Ted talks, of all kinds, I could easily while away the hours if they would mostly kindly just offer me a permanent seat, a bottomless cup of tea and a good book for the \u2018in-betweens\u2019. \u00a0Oh, and equally as important, probably a box of kleenex.<\/p>\n<p>Some days I could just sit and cry<br \/>\nnot from sadness<br \/>\n(from hormones most certainly)<br \/>\nbut more from<br \/>\nkindness, from intelligence<br \/>\nfrom<br \/>\nbeauty<br \/>\nthings I see, things I hear<br \/>\nand listen to<br \/>\nand things &#8211;<br \/>\nI feel<br \/>\nkind hearts, and kind people<br \/>\nand genuine<br \/>\nsouls<br \/>\ntruth and<br \/>\nrealness<br \/>\nart, music,\u00a0 words<br \/>\nand creative genius<br \/>\namazement and<br \/>\namusement<br \/>\nand<br \/>\nLove<\/p>\n<p>maybe \u2026\u00a0\u00a0 hopefully,<br \/>\nsome of these things, are reflected in me<br \/>\nrecognized maybe or<br \/>\nawakened<br \/>\nand that is why I feel them so<br \/>\nI don\u2019t know, really\u2026\u00a0 but it certainly is something I have come to appreciate<br \/>\nIn myself<\/p>\n<p>I had a friend once tell me (among other things) that she \u201ccouldn\u2019t handle my negative emotions in my writing\u201d.<br \/>\nMost of what was \u2018kindly offered\u2019 made me question really the actual use of the word <strong><em>friend<\/em><\/strong>,<br \/>\nand how we choose, \u00a0when we know<br \/>\nbetter<br \/>\nbut not my emotions, or the sharing of myself<br \/>\ncertainly no one expects to always be up, and I can\u2019t imagine going through life not<br \/>\nfeeling<br \/>\nthere really is so much beauty to behold<br \/>\nand kind hearts are very real<br \/>\nand tears<br \/>\nand yes, even sadness<br \/>\ncan really be a wonderful thing<\/p>\n<p>and guarding one\u2019s heart!?<br \/>\nI just don\u2019t have the energy for that<\/p>\n<p>so, I remain<br \/>\nopen<br \/>\nto wonder, and to beauty<br \/>\nto realness<br \/>\nand<br \/>\nto truth<\/p>\n<p>and to those kind hearts who do the same<br \/>\nI recognize you<br \/>\nand<br \/>\nI thank you<br \/>\nfor<\/p>\n<p>everything \u2665<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This morning after a read of my book,\u00a0 I listen to a Ted talk by the inimitable Anne Lamott:\u00a0 12 Truths I learned from life and writing.\u00a0\u00a0 I love Ted talks, of all kinds, I could easily while away the&hellip; <br \/><a class=\"read-more-button\" href=\"https:\/\/tamara.tedzplace.ca\/?p=1319\">Read more<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":1320,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[1],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-1319","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-uncategorized"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/tamara.tedzplace.ca\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/1319","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/tamara.tedzplace.ca\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/tamara.tedzplace.ca\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/tamara.tedzplace.ca\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/users\/2"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/tamara.tedzplace.ca\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcomments&post=1319"}],"version-history":[{"count":4,"href":"https:\/\/tamara.tedzplace.ca\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/1319\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":1324,"href":"https:\/\/tamara.tedzplace.ca\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/1319\/revisions\/1324"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/tamara.tedzplace.ca\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/media\/1320"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/tamara.tedzplace.ca\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fmedia&parent=1319"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/tamara.tedzplace.ca\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcategories&post=1319"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/tamara.tedzplace.ca\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Ftags&post=1319"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
