And so, as warned
\na large blanket of white descended
\nin the night
\nit\u2019s cold and it\u2019s wet
\nreluctantly,
\nI suppose now it really is time to put my gardens
\nto rest
\nas the sun streams in my window
\njust in case today you haven\u2019t found your smile
\nmaybe I can share with you
\nmine
\nfirst up of course,\u00a0 today\u2019s great blessing
\nof sunshine to start the day off
\njust right
\nas well as
\nfrom the inside looking out
\nit all looks quite lovely
\nthis bright new covering of fresh white
\nto morning coffee, and quality time
\nwith my Love
\noh so soothing
\nto the heart of
\nme
\nand the arrival of the sharp-shinned hawk
\nstopping to rest on the gate
\nso that we may admire his magnificence
\nwhose picture I do not take
\nas not to disturb his privacy
\nand really,\u00a0 I’d rather just look
\nthan risk missing
\nthis
\nto stopping for a minute to marvel as an icicle drips
\nliquid shimmer from the tip of
\nit\u2019s gentle undulating
\ncurves
\noutside it\u2019s the leaves in a beautiful mosaic
\nof colours\"\"
\nto a deep inhale
\nand the smells of a genuine freshening
\nof the air
\nnot really expecting much to be left of
\nmy flowers
\nthere she stands my majestic beauty
\nnow delicately adorned with snowy nightcaps
\nevermore delightful\"\"
\nI gather up my Buddha, dust off his fluffy white
\nhat and robes
\nI bring him inside (in more ways than one)
\nwhere my husband has just returned from a few errands
\nand picking up my next read from the library
\nin the short time he was gone, I have managed to
\ndiscover two more of interest
\nand expanded my joy to find that the library too
\nhas ordered them in
\nmy husband cuts us slices from a beautiful grainy dense fresh bread
\nto go with our lunch
\nof delicious steaming soup
\nand then we sit down
\nmy love and I
\nbasking in deep gratitude
\nas I pour out for him
\nmy
\nsmiles<\/p>\n

so there’s mine,
\nI hope today,
