{"id":1706,"date":"2017-11-12T18:26:01","date_gmt":"2017-11-12T23:26:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tamara.tedzplace.ca\/?p=1706"},"modified":"2017-11-13T18:36:25","modified_gmt":"2017-11-13T23:36:25","slug":"remembrance","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tamara.tedzplace.ca\/?p=1706","title":{"rendered":"Remembrance"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Yesterday morning I attended the Remembrance Day ceremonies in Ottawa, as I always do &#8211; which is to say I stand in my living room in front of the TV.<br \/>\n(for some reason I always stand, in &#8216;prayer pose&#8217; for the whole thing.)<br \/>\nIt was wonderfully moving, as it always is &#8211; the Silver Cross Mother being one of my favourite (and equally heartbreaking) people and stories to watch.<br \/>\nAs well of course, as all of the honoured veterans in attendance, to look upon<br \/>\ntheir faces\u00a0<span class=\"text_exposed_show\"><br \/>\nwith reverence and great gratitude<br \/>\nthe only bit of disappointed for me was that I did miss Peter Mansbridge,<br \/>\nand mostly I missed listening to Rabbi Reuven Balka who has been a very important and meaningful part of the ceremonies for me, always in his messages of<br \/>\nkindness.<br \/>\nAnyway, all I wanted to say is how very important, and how very necessary in today&#8217;s world<br \/>\nto be called<br \/>\nto<br \/>\ngratitude\u00a0<span class=\"_5mfr _47e3\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"img\" src=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/images\/emoji.php\/v9\/fac\/1\/16\/2665.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"16\" height=\"16\" \/><\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"_5mfr _47e3\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"img\" src=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/images\/emoji.php\/v9\/f80\/1\/16\/1f64f.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"16\" height=\"16\" \/><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Yesterday morning I attended the Remembrance Day ceremonies in Ottawa, as I always do &#8211; which is to say I stand in my living room in front of the TV.
