‘Tis the holiday season, \u00a0and I\u2019ve gotten myself into
\na bit of a
\nfunk
\ntoo many grey days, I suppose
\ntoo much stuff, too busy
\ntoo much to do
\njust not enough time to
\nread
\nand to
\nwrite
\nand to be
\nso the words swirl
\nand because I haven\u2019t time to sort them through
\nthey begin to weigh on my vertigo and plug up
\nmy ears
\nand when I deem myself not fit for keeping company
\nI take a vow of silence ..\u00a0 of sorts
\nbecause this kind of mood works best
\nwhen kept to oneself
\nI usually do love the holiday season, so many lovely things
\nto see and
\nhear
\na wonderful time to
\nwander and
\ndream
\nbut there hasn\u2019t been time, or we haven\u2019t
\nmade time
\nor maybe I\u2019m just too
\ngrumpy
\nI find myself questioning another holiday deemed for
\npresent giving
\non demand, or obligation
\nseems odd
\nand I\u2019ve decided there really isn\u2019t anything
\nI need
\nhowever, something I do love is to give
\nand so
\nthis is the way I attempt to ease myself back
\nout
\nof the funk
\nwith a quiet joy, that I know is
\nwithin
\n(in any small and simple way I can find it)
\nwith kindness towards others as well as
\nmyself
\n(especially when I know, I need it)
\nwith gentleness, and understanding
\n(certainly we can all use more of this)
\nand always, always
\nwith Gratitude
\nand
\nwith Love
\nso this is what I am offering, my friends
\npresence
\nin
\nJoy, Kindness, Gentleness, Understanding

\nfor your holiday season
\nso that when you need it,
