\n ~ Jane Austen in a letter to her sister, \u00a0\u00a0June 15, 1808<\/em><\/p>\n

And so begins my day\u2026
\nthis morning I send a message to a much deserving friend,
\njust to say, \u2018how wonderful I think you are\u2019
\nand a \u2018Thank you ..\u00a0 for kindness\u2019
\nbecause I do
\nand because I feel, \u00a0if you are thinking it, it is equally as important
\nto put it
\ninto action
\nquite easily I could spend most everyday doing this
\nbut there is work, that consumes some days
\nthe physicality of which has again over taxed my hands and arms
\nso today ..\u00a0 is rest,\u00a0 and writing
\nand here then begins my \u2018important nothings\u2019\u2026<\/p>\n

I have been
\npunching through a bit of cloud for a few days
\nat times it feels like walking against a very strong wind
\nuntil of course, I remember to offer myself
\nease of a rapid thinking mind
\nand always
\ngentle kindness
\nas this too shall pass\u2026
\nyesterday I can feel it\u2019s lifting
\nas I pause for moments in my day to recognize the glory of the sun
\nas it shines on my face
\nand smile
\nit is after all the first day of spring
\nand I start, (even as I am working) to write words in my head
\nabout the power of love
\nto me the single most wonderful thing in the world!<\/p>\n

What I\u2019m thinking is how easy it is to love
\nand yet,
\nhow difficult we make it
\nhow readily available it is to us
\nand yet
\nhow hard sometimes, \u00a0we search
\nhow wonderfully full we already are
\nand yet
\nhow very empty, \u00a0we can feel
\nand really how amazingly simple and important it all becomes
\nto recognize
\nourselves
\nas
\nsuch<\/p>\n

my husband and I went out for dinner on Saturday night
\nand we had a lovely meal
\nhowever, we did not gaze lovingly into each other\u2019s eyes
\nwe were, as one might say\u2026\u00a0 a little off
\nwe did not (as is our usual practice) hold hands on the way home
\nand when we came in,\u00a0 we exercised a kind of quietness
\nfor a few days
\nthis does not today, or any day change
\nmy love for him
\nor my state of gratitude
\nfor
\nus
\nif anything,\u00a0 it enriches
\nwe are our own kind of fairy tale, and not everyday is mush\u2026
\nand as I am thinking about love,
\nI offer us both forgiveness for our humanness,
\nkindness and gratitude for our
\nlove
\nand then this,\u00a0 I send out to the universe
\nto anyone who may need
\nit<\/p>\n

somehow I suppose I soften myself with thoughts
\non the blessings of
\nlove
\nor perhaps I gently brought myself
\nback to an ease
\nwith
\ngratitude
\nand I am resting, in my heart
\nas last night, \u00a0out of the blue he stops to kiss me
\nand thankfully the world steadies itself
\nagain<\/p>\n

Today it is spring
\nand I celebrate the return of little green sprouts
\nand I take a moment to tell you,
\njust how wonderful I think you are
\nthen,
\nlike sunshine through a dull sky\u2026
\nall of the great blessings
\nof this
\nfind
