it\u2019s in the waiting for spring,
\nincreasingly the world seems to thrive as a
\nfast paced society
\nin a rush for change,\u00a0 hurry up, \u00a0hurry\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 UP
\nto move, move, move\u2026
\nand then
\nto
\nwait<\/p>\n
and complain, and complain and to
\ncomplain<\/p>\n
even though the calendar says spring ,
\nthis morning I wake up to a ground covering of snow
\nand wild whipping winds
\nmy lovely crocuses holding tight
\nto their glorious purple gowns
\ncurled in tight, gathered around them
\nnow donning crowns and shawls of white
\nI smile at them, as
\nit appears they\u2019ve been
\nanointed<\/p>\n
and really,\u00a0 I find myself not the least bit disappointed in this
\nweather
\nthis to me really is the nature
\nof spring
\nas it should be
\nan easing in..
\na slow awakening
\na soft transition from wintry blasts, snow and ice
\nto vibrancy, renewal and
\ngrowth
\nas a group we are in want of rush
\nof hurry, of change
\nto flip the page
\nbut not me, I flourish on contentment
\nmaybe it\u2019s age,\u00a0 I don\u2019t want to feel time\u2019s passing
\nbut I think it\u2019s more than this
\nas we know very well, time does indeed
\npass
\nand for me, while I am here,
\nI just wish to
\nnotice
\nto feel, to see, to
\ntaste
\nto appreciate
\nI don\u2019t want to miss, a thing of beauty
\nI wish to always be
\nopen
\nto be
\nastonished
\nto be a–ma—zed
\nand in practicing this
\nthere is for me, \u00a0in every day something that touches me
\ndeeply
\nand every day I can feel myself expand in this blessing
\nI revel in the languid-ness of an intentioned life<\/p>\n
my day off today,
\nafter a brief step outside for gazing
\nin the chill
\nI take time to luxuriate in the sumptuousness of a hot shower
\nto bask in a morning reading a lovely book that is making me smile
\nas inside, I begin to dance
\nto sharing the morning with my love
\ncoffee and later lunch together
\nbefore he goes, \u00a0and as he does
\nto savouring
\nkisses<\/p>\n
today, \u00a0I am listening to the extraordinary Amy Winehouse
\nwith great reverence
\nthree albums I have just acquired
\nonce again, I am \u2018late\u2019 to the party
\nnever one for the popular vote, I suppose
\nI like to come to things on my own terms
\nin my own time\u2026
\nto a falling in love,\u00a0 deeply
\ngenuinely and
\nslow
\nI am a firm believer in all things in good time
\nno matter how much we like to push
\nor rush
\nI am almost certain
\nthings do happen..\u00a0 as they should<\/p>\n
like life,
\nlike love
\nlike beauty
\nand yes ..
\neven
\nlike
\nspring<\/p>\n
easing in
\nslow awakening
\ngratitude

much to savour
