Some days feel like sluggin\u2019 through mud
\nya know<\/p>\n
cold, wet and
\ngrey
\nwithout the benefit of much sun, one\u2019s shadow cannot be seen
\nbut the weight of it feels
\nenormous
\nand shoulders feel
\nweary
\nspring seems to be in a bit of a holding pattern
\nas seen in my crocus that still have not been brave enough
\nto open themselves fully
\nand the pond shows mostly signs of
\ndecay
\nrather than renewal
\nallergies are bothered by mould and rot
\ninstead of pollen
\ncolours,\u00a0 not yet vibrant, instead appear
\nkind of dull
\nI start to feel over-exposed and over-sensitive
\na need for the worries of the world to just\u00a0 GO AWAY
\nfor a while
\nthoughts and words still swirl but I become slightly unsure
\nof which ones to pluck out
\nand which to leave until they have simply
\nworn themselves
\nout
\nwhat to say, and who really cares about
\nwords
\nit\u2019s a ridiculous funk, and I know it…\u00a0 never seems to stop it from coming<\/p>\n
however,\u00a0 it is also kind of
\ncleansing, I suppose
\nas it does in my effort to save others from my scowl
\ncause me to become somewhat
\nquieter
\nmore withdrawn
\nI know for certain, \u00a0I reside in my heart
\nand it is here I go for refuge
\nit is comforting, strong
\nand gentle
\nwhen I
\nam
\nnot<\/p>\n
my heart knows when my head is in a jumble
\nand even so,
\nit remains patient
\nand kind
\nyesterday at work, I happen to glance over briefly at a large puddle of water
\non the floor
\nand what catches my eye is that this puddle forms
\na large heart
\nwhile it is quite possible that no-one else might see this heart,
\nmight even just walk right through
\nit
\nit catches my eye,
\nas if it is there to remind me
\nthat I
\nam Love
\nand that maybe in a moment’s uncertainty
\nI needed reminding<\/p>\n
