There is never enough time for all the nothingness, one wants to do,
\nthese are the words that run through my head on days of
\ngorgeous sunshine
\nand fantastically blue skies
\nI wonder if we don\u2019t value nothingness, as much as we should
\nreally I can\u2019t think of a more perfect day than
\na quiet read of my book
\nan early morning gaze out my window
\nlistening to the birds
\nand then
\na wander of great gratitude in my garden
\nsigns of love, signs of beauty
\nsigns of
\npeace
\nout here and always
\nin
\nme
\nI wonder too, \u00a0if in some respects I might be called
\nlazy
\nlackadaisical
\ninactive,\u00a0 quite possibly all true
\nreally, what I think I am is acutely aware of the passing of time
\nnot always on a calendar or a clock
\nbut in a measure of living
\nand of
\nchoosing
\nthree days a week I work at a job that is not my \u2018calling\u2019
\nor my \u2018joy\u2019
\nI do wonder sometimes, how I got
\nhere
\nit is hard, physically and I am never certain I am \u2018good\u2019 at it
\nbut it provides me a necessary paycheque
\nand the blessing of knowing the people I get to work
\nwith
\nand really it makes the days that I am not at work
\neven more valuable to me
\nand my
\nwell being
\nso I take gratitude in this
\non a day off I think of all of the things I need to
\naccomplish
\nand while I am making my mental list
\nof things to do
\nwords dance around in my head
\nand tickle their way through my body
\nthe unfamiliar trill of a bird, catches my ear
\nmakes me wonder\u2026\u00a0 starts to call me out
\nand before I know it
\nI have wandered
\nand gazed
\nI have watched delicate petals of early blossoms
\ndance around me as they fall
\nsoftly and silently
\nto earth
\nI have reveled and bowed
\nI have smiled and I have
\nlaughed
\nI have stood and I have swelled
\nI have gathered and I have
\nexpanded
\nand then<\/p>\n

I have sat
\nI have sorted
\nI have thought
\nI have spilled out the words as they come to me
\nand again
\nI have bowed to a
\nblessing
\nbecause really for me..
\nthis is exactly how I wish to spend my time here<\/p>\n

just quietly
\nwatching
\nadmiring<\/p>\n

smiling<\/p>\n

loving<\/p>\n

and filling myself
\nwith
\nsunshine<\/p>\n

that feels like quite enough fullness
\nto
\na
\nday
\nsimple pleasures,\u00a0 quiet joys
\na good read
\na little music
\nand somehow I have dreamily lulled myself into the late
\nafternoon \u2026
\nnow,<\/p>\n

what was I was going to do today? \u2665<\/p>\n
