This morning while out on some errands we stop to fill up on gas
\nas my husband gets out to\u00a0 pump
\nI sit and watch, as the breeze gathers all of the wishes it can muster
\nfrom the nearby field of dandelions gone to seed
\nand sends them swirling in to the air
\njust in front of me
\nand I feel very blessed by the offering
\nof wishes\u2026<\/p>\n
it really is my kind of day,
\nindeed another scorcher, deliciously hot
\n(of course this\u00a0 I love, as I do not have to be at work)
\nthe sun on my skin is so wonderfully warm it almost sizzles
\nand I take it in small increments before retreating to a shady spot
\nstretches of high humidity tend to make one feel
\nl — a — n — g — u — i — d
\nbut for me, also feels quite luxurious
\nlike the perfect day for lazing by the pool
\nin an over-sized hat
\nfor drinks on the terrace
\nin gorgeous summer costumes
\nwhere I actually am,\u00a0 is sitting by my little pond,
\nindulging in turmeric tea
\nwhere currently my social companions are a couple of fish
\na few tadpoles
\nand
\na
\nsmall snail
\nyet here I sit,\u00a0 perfectly and contentedly
\nhappy<\/p>\n
wonderful things are happening today
\nI just know it
\nprobably some terrible things too
\nbut I
\nam really just in search of the
\nwonderful<\/p>\n
it\u2019s the kind of day when the clouds
\nare gloriously changing
\ncoming and going in puffy billows
\nsoftly tinged with grey
\nand then
\ngraceful wisps of white
\ndancing across an endless azure backdrop<\/p>\n
it\u2019s the kind of day where I can take a walk of gratitude
\nin a practice of noticing and welcoming
\nsigns of abundance
\nin hidden
\nplaces
\nand then to find myself standing
\nright beside
\na pair of baby sparrows sitting snugly in the dogwood
\nand marvel that they are not the least bit disturbed
\nby my
\npresence<\/p>\n
we
\nare peaceful
\nbe-ings<\/p>\n
it\u2019s the kind of day when kisses are soft
\nand
\nlingering
\nwhere heart beats are fast
\nand fluttery<\/p>\n
and after you have gone,<\/p>\n
it’s where
\nI
\ncan be found
\nsitting
\njust gratefully
\nsmiling
\nup<\/p>\n
