\na brief stop on my walk of gratitude
\nI am trying to zoom in on a tiny flower that has caught my eye
\nmild frustration or possibly disappointment sets in
\nas today,\u00a0 what comes out is mostly a blur of colours
\njust can\u2019t seem to steady myself
\nlong enough to get the shot I wanted
\ninstead, I leave it
\nand continue my walk<\/p>\n
Two things happen this week
\none, again a friend inquires about my \u2018skill\u2019 with the camera
\nand I have to explain that really I have
\nvery little
\nmost times, for every one clear picture
\nI may have ten ..\u00a0 not so clear
\nIn part it may be that even though my camera has many lovely and one must assume very useful buttons
\nI really only know how to zoom and which button I press that does indeed
\ntake
\nthe picture
\nand then there is of course,\u00a0 the challenge of just
\nstaying still<\/p>\n
the other thing this week,\u00a0 was a very personal situation
\nthat seemingly came out of nowhere (although I suppose not really)
\neither way, it has sort of
\nknocked me
\nunsteady-ed my boat
\nor at the very least caused a sudden internal retreat<\/p>\n
and then there is
\nme
\nand I suppose the fact that sometimes\u2026
\nI am not
\nso steady
\n(a fairly universal feeling, I think)<\/p>\n
I am a person of questions
\nI think…\u00a0 of reason
\nbut often too, as many,\u00a0 I am certain of the fact that most times
\nI have no idea
\nwhat I am doing<\/p>\n
I have a very grounded spiritual foundation
\nI practice a life of deep gratitude
\nwhen I am uncertain
\nI ask questions,\u00a0 I try to open myself
\nto allow
\nfor
\nanswers
\nit can take me some
\ntime
\nit can take some searching<\/p>\n
I am not perfect and most certainly not all knowing
\nI know this
\nhowever,
\nwhen answers do come
\nI can feel peace
\nas it washes over my weary self
\nalmost like a much needed
\nexhale\u2026<\/p>\n
answers don\u2019t always mean solutions
\nsometimes the answer is just
\nto
\ntrust<\/p>\n
so this I do<\/p>\n
I look again at my blurry picture and decide not to toss it
\nit may well be a lovely work of
\nart
\nand then I turn my attentions to a tiny bud
\njust starting out
\nI breathe and I try again
\nto be
\nstill<\/p>\n
what I see is,\u00a0 that
\nsometimes what anchors you to grace
\ncan feel like the very thinnest little
\nthread
\nbut still it has enough
\nstrength
\nto hold you steady
\nuntil you can regain your
\nbalance<\/p>\n
and when I see…<\/p>\n
these then
\nappear to be the strings
\nof my heart\u00a0 \u2665<\/p>\n
