Do you know of your own inherent perfection?
\nEver marvel at the wondrous-ness of you?
\nIf you happen today, to stop and look closely,
\nwhat is it you\u2019d
\nsee?<\/p>\n
Somehow we have slipped into October
\nquietly without
\nfanfare
\nthe garden I suppose is easing its way through
\nthe closing act
\nfading beauties holding on to the spotlight<\/p>\n
For several years I didn\u2019t have many roses in my garden
\nour beloved rambling seven sisters has been here for much longer
\nthan we have
\nand they were kind enough to allow me
\nto stay
\nas a gardener, \u00a0I am not much good if you are in need of special or frequent care
\nI much prefer the self-sufficient sort
\nbut then I stumbled upon a sad little rose, at the end of its selling season
\nleft unwanted
\nand I took it home
\nand she has provided me with such joy
\nflowering from spring until winter
\nin a gorgeous ethereal white, sometimes (I think, just for me) she sports a few pink polka-dots
\nthen I picked up a shrub rose, boasting about its hardiness
\nwhose bold red blooms never fail to get her noticed
\nand last year this dear one, my Campfire rose
\nwhom I photograph often
\nas she is to me pure artistic perfection
\nmost probably because she shows herself in my favourite colours
\nthe softest of yellows and pinks
\nshe seems to be
\never changing<\/p>\n
and possibly it is that she reminds me
\nto always stop and look closely
\nto notice
\nto marvel at the softness of beauty
\nat ever changing hues
\nto breathe
\nand to smile<\/p>\n
to find myself here
\nin the delicateness of life
\nand light<\/p>\n
and always to an offering
\nof gratitude
\nfor simple things<\/p>\n
that bring us
