\nfor a sit
\na brief pause, to sift through
\nas now we come to the close of another year,
\nquite remarkable how very fast days, weeks, months seem to pass
\nand one might wonder did we spend it
\nwell<\/p>\n
does it bring one to taking stock..
\nof loves, of losses
\nof gains
\nlife can change in astonishing ways
\nsome wonderful, some
\nworrisome, some..\u00a0 wows
\nto be here
\nrelishing the wealth of love and laughter, great pride and
\njoy
\nof my own dear brood
\nwhile off in the distance quietly falling away
\nfaint memories
\nthe now common fading ties of relations who really don\u2019t
\nwish to be
\nodd trails in the snow\u2026<\/p>\n
the celebration of fresh new endearing, enriching friendships
\nsome so familiar as if one had always known
\nolder rekindling of smiles shared
\nin new light
\nfreedoms and forgiveness
\nthe ease of great love<\/p>\n
not much one for resolutions, as such
\na new year for honouring a few stirrings of the heart
\nto learn some
\nto love lots
\nto release, to let go
\nof much stuff
\nboth inside and out
\nto cleaner lines and surfaces
\nto allowing for
\nspaces
\nto grow
\nto enrich and endear all of the life
\nthat I touch
\nin some way
\nand to do so,\u00a0 just gently
\nto leave the chars and ashes
\nof things I cannot control
\nthe strange fury of some
\nthe shouting and ire
\nloud nasty politics and constant stampede of serving
\noneself
\nto veering away from the crowd<\/p>\n
I want to walk softly
\nto quietly experience beauty and grace
\nthe great value of simple things
\nand
\nkindness<\/p>\n
I want to be kind
\nand I want you
\nto be kind
\ntoo<\/p>\n
I want to think gentle thoughts
\nand when I cannot
\nto just then, be
\nquiet
\nor still<\/p>\n
I want to show love
\nalways
\nand I want to feel love
\nalways
\nknowing full well that I AM LOVE
\nalways
\nwithout scoreboards or conditions<\/p>\n
I want to notice
\nI want to continue to marvel when I see the sun
\nthe moon,
\nor the stars
\nand then…\u00a0 \u00a0to breathe
\nin deep
\ncontentment<\/p>\n
I want to always be bold enough to tell you
\nI love you
\nat precisely the minute I think it<\/p>\n
I want to always begin
\nand end
\nwith gratitude
\na sigh
