{"id":2765,"date":"2019-03-06T13:35:27","date_gmt":"2019-03-06T18:35:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tamara.tedzplace.ca\/?p=2765"},"modified":"2019-03-06T13:35:27","modified_gmt":"2019-03-06T18:35:27","slug":"and-so-i-have-soft-walls","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tamara.tedzplace.ca\/?p=2765","title":{"rendered":"and so i have soft walls&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I should be shoveling snow,\u00a0 but this morning so far<br \/>\nI am being<br \/>\nluxuriously<br \/>\nlazy<\/p>\n<p>reading through a beloved classic<br \/>\nwhich I knew of,\u00a0 but had not read<br \/>\nhaving gifted myself, a belated Christmas<br \/>\nthe description of a lovely old bookshop<br \/>\nin which<br \/>\nI<br \/>\nwould like to live<br \/>\nor at the very least<br \/>\naimlessly<br \/>\nwander,<\/p>\n<p><em>\u2018<strong>it\u2019s dim inside, you can smell the shop before you see it,\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><strong><em>must and dust and age, and walls of wood and floors of wood.<br \/>\n<\/em><em>\u2026\u00a0 The shelves go on forever.\u00a0 They go up to the ceiling and they\u2019re very old and kind of grey, like old oak that has absorbed so much dust over the years they no longer are their true color.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>eyes lifting from my book<br \/>\nto<br \/>\nabsorb things of beauty<br \/>\nthe breath of light in rooms just<br \/>\nwaking<br \/>\nlooking, breathing<br \/>\nthinking<br \/>\nno claims of decorating prowess, yet repeatedly<br \/>\nso very pleased by my choices<br \/>\nI am in love with the softest of hues<br \/>\nin colours<br \/>\nin nature<br \/>\nin people too,\u00a0 I suppose<br \/>\nand what a blessing to so often and<br \/>\nso easily set one\u2019s eyes upon<br \/>\nthings<br \/>\nthat quietly<br \/>\ndelight<\/p>\n<p>softness to me.
