One of my favourite programs to watch on tv
\nis Jeopardy
\nnot because I think I am so smart
\nrather because I know
\nI am
\nnot
\n(but I can learn)
\nin fact my oldest son as a toddler
\nwould wander around the house
\nyelling out answers in gibberish, before he could talk
\n(proud mom)
\na favourite story of my children growing up is,
\nwhen the attacks of 9\/11 on the US occurred
\nand I had little ones in school
\nthe school boards sent home letters for concerned parents
\non how to talk to your children about their and your,
\npossible anxieties
\nas all media outlets were on constant,
\nconstant
\nre-play
\nwalking home from school, my son
\nsaid to me
\nMom, what are we gonna do?
\nagain later, \u00a0after dinner,\u00a0 with some anxiousness
\nhe said to me,
\nMom, what are we gonna do???
\nI paused, thought best how to answer and explain,
\nwhat was happening, to not scare,
\nbut to
\nunderstand
\nthat we would be ok here, that we were not in any danger
\nin slight frustration,\u00a0 he said to me
\nNo Mom,
\nwhat are we gonna do \u2026\u00a0 about Jeopardy!?!<\/p>\n
this always puts things in perspective for me,
\nthat of course even though we do need to eat,
\nwe are not required to only consume
\nthat which we have been
\nfed<\/p>\n
I am currently reading a book recommended to me by
\nBill Gates
\n(yes, just another one of my book buddies)
\nwho billed it as, \u201cmy new favorite book of all time\u201d
\nhad me easily hooked
\nnot because I think I am so smart
\nrather because I know
\nI am
\nnot
\n(but I can learn)
\nthe book is a hefty tome
\nwhose intellectual depth may at first glance
\nseem quite beyond me
\nbut it is also rather enthralling and quite an interesting read
\nand really Steven Pinker
\nyou had me at

\nnow<\/p>\n
on another note,
\nthe robins have arrived in full force
\nas today marks the very hopeful, very blissful
\nvery much
\nanticipated,
\nfirst day of spring
\nand regardless of what the day brings from here on in,
\nright now I am basking in the sunshine
\nof
\nrevival, renewal
\nreawakening
\nrefreshing
\nre-beginnings
\nand readying myself for
\nre-visiting the ever changing landscapes
\nof
\nlife \u2665<\/p>\n
