to see beautiful things
to regularly look at things in light
and shade
to see everyday ordinary things
simple things
as
beautiful
it quickly takes the place of
nasty things
of
ugly things
of spiteful things
dirty politics and popular opinions
become big business
name calling and the puffing of your chest so you can be loudest
and vile-est
don\u2019t you know that that stuff then sticks
to
you
instead of where it is you have placed
the sharpest point of your finger<\/p>\n\n\n\n
instead,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
when it becomes your practice
to
tread a little lighter
to look for ways to be
kinder
it starts to change the look and feel
of your
skin
and how the sun nourishes when it touches
you
the simplest grace
granted
by a smile\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n
when it becomes your practice
to walk outdoors
among the flowers
and
trees
the lines around your eyes
lessen
you listen differently to things
in
harmony
you breathe the air of
millions
and feel the vastness
of the sky
you notice when the dove lands
and the blue jay squawks
when a baby cardinal needs
to eat
when above you a hawk
is soaring
and somewhere beside you
the toad is singing
softly
of love <\/p>\n\n\n\n
you appreciate a day to just
sit
to read, play some music
sing along
watch the
bees
you are open to learning
to listening
to loving<\/p>\n\n\n\n
when it becomes a practice
to say Thank you,
I like you, I appreciate you
and
I love you
regardless of how or if it is
reciprocated
every part of you changes
in every possible and wonderful way
(trust me on this one) <\/p>\n\n\n\n
when it becomes your practice
to centre yourself
in the calm and peace
of loving kindness
when they tell you \u2018it is most common
to receive a call
to come back and take another look
so not to get yourself into a tizzy\u2019
when indeed they do call…
you then
don\u2019t have to work so very hard
