(last night, I watched a documentary about a war photographer
who made his living on the front lines of horror
and humanity..<\/em>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last night, I gaze up adoringly at the full, full moon
and stand for a few brisk moments
in its light
knowing this..
is the only thing<\/p>\n\n\n\n

today I read, it is World Kindness Day
(seems fitting)
of course, I believe this should be so
every day<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I believe in the power of kindness
in the simplest acts of kindness
in the heart
at the very centre of kindness
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

of course if you know me, or have
followed me
here
probably you may know this already
as I am forever championing the very virtuous nature of
kindness<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I believe in its vitality
in its necessity
in its
viability<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I believe in its strength, in its character
in its universal understanding
I believe kindness creates the world
and it is most assuredly the only thing we have
to
save it
(and us in the process)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Am I always so kind
no
but I do know how to find it, how to
recognize it
and
how to create it
I know how to bring myself, back to it
when it feels like the world around me
has lost
it<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I only know how to lead with my heart
(wherever that may get me)
and to go there for rest, when in need
I think sometimes, I can recognize when you need it
and when I am able to offer it
I do so
it may not mean much, but to my thinking a kind heart
is always a welcome sight
in fragile waters<\/p>\n\n\n\n

this may feel like a rather redundant ramble
all I really wanted to say was,
last night
I gazed up adoringly at the full, full \u00a0moon,

and in the climate of self involvement, loud opinions and click bait outrage
wouldn\u2019t it be nice, for each of us
to take our stand
where the light can reach
