To be a silent observer on the sidelines
of
life
a not so,
secret admirer
of things,
to a slow burning appreciation of
essence
and enduring grace
an increasing day to day beauty of natural
inclinations
you sometimes fail to
see
yet never to have told you, would seem
like such a waste\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n
a day in mid-November that feels
exactly that
mild-ish temperatures have made the early snows
all but disappear completely
leaving the damp carpet of leaves to have
their moment\u2026 \u00a0on the lawn
outside looks most of things left
undone
and easy everyday excuses to encourage
slow
decay
the roses somehow manage to hold on
to a beauty all their
own
depending I suppose on how it is
you
look
untidy, unkempt, un-
burdened by appearances
not a bit bothered by the movement of
clouds overhead
no longer dependent on light
to grow
they instead garner a kind of peace
everlasting<\/p>\n\n\n\n
the birds arrive<\/p>\n\n\n\n
with camera in hand
walk gently
on the earth
play generous with words
be summarily
enchanted
breathe gratitude for this day
ground oneself in
love<\/p>\n\n\n\n
and always,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
