It’s a good day when,
both the cat and the dog
choose your lap to share for morning comfort<\/p>\n\n\n\n
while you sit to watch
the cardinals, blue jays, chickadees and woodpeckers
come by the window for a treat
and you choose to stay there
long enough to finish a really good book
finding joy in knowing that the very next read is waiting
just beside
you<\/p>\n\n\n\n
when you can visit the second-hand bookstore
spot a few of your own that you have just given away
and not buy them back \ud83d\ude09
find a copy of To the Lighthouse by Virginia Woolf
that you just cannot pass up
as well a few cds, (does anyone cd anymore or is it just me\ud83e\udd14)
a nice brisk walk and lunch with my love
then pop in my new finds Sarah Harmer, Patty Griffin and
Trio II, Emmylou Harris, Linda Ronstadt & Dolly Parton
to listen<\/p>\n\n\n\n
while still floating a little from last night
watching Funny Girl
and just how wonderfully gorgeous and equally fabulous
is the ever so young Barbra Streisand<\/p>\n\n\n\n
it is indeed a good day
when you can surround yourself in all things
lovely
and almost never find yourself,
without a smile \ud83d\udc97<\/p>\n\n\n\n
