If you know about me and days off and sunshine, there is a lot of inactivity (see also laziness, see also currently working on my Masters Degree in Procrastination) there is some reading, and of course the seemingly lost art of ambling.<\/p>\n

One of the first things I do when I step outside, into sunshine is a sun salutation. I find my beam, I turn my face upwards to feel it’s warmth, I take a deep inhale raising my arms up above my head, I absorb or I guess embody that brilliant beaming ball of light, and let it draw me up into it’s flames.
\nI suppose this could appear quite funny or even strange to the outside observer., I do it wherever I happen to be, when I stop to notice and acknowledge the sun. In fact one time my daughter happened upon this very scene, me on the edge of the patio, arms outstretched , face to the sun and loudly declared “What are you doing you freak of nature!?!” Nothing like a teenage daughter to bring one solidly back to the ground! My husband just laughs and shakes his head, with that ‘possibly my wife is a bit loopy’ sort of look.<\/span><\/p>\n

Aside from that, I also consciously choose to spend my days in observing,
\nin the pausing
\nin the noticing
\nin the breathing in
\nand always in gratitude
\nit has become like an involuntary muscle with me,
\nand today I came across this:<\/p>\n

and yes, I thought –
\nto the savouring.
\nMany things catch me in the pausing, there is beauty of course, and art. There is kindness and simplicity, and today,
\ntoday – I thought of you.
\nand how you bless me in this way,
\nyou buoy my heart
\nyou stretch my soul
\nyou expand my compassion
\nand solidify my connection
\nyou walk with me
\nyou light my path
\nyou travel on ahead
\nyou recognize something in me,
\nI know I see in you
\nyou encourage my smile and attend my tears
\nyou honour me most humbly
\nany time I can say, ‘i have this friend ..’<\/p>\n

and to this .. the savouring \u2665<\/u><\/i><\/p>\n
