snow blind\u00a0
the scent of\u00a0milder air\u00a0\u00a0
hints\u00a0\u00a0
of a season of change\u00a0
to come\u00a0
a deep breath in… and out<\/p>\n\n\n\n
thus, the morning begins in gratitude <\/p>\n\n\n\n
for a small visitor\u00a0
who seems happy enough with my offering\u00a0
of homemade suet\u00a0
and his friend, gladly and somewhat amazingly\u00a0
hanging by his toenails\u00a0
to partake\u00a0
\u00a0
a day on the calendar that comes\u00a0
with a centering of love\u00a0
two-fold\u00a0
\u00a0
the first being the birthdate of a very dear heart\u00a0
who most fortunately for me,\u00a0\u00a0
happens to also be a very dear\u00a0
friend\u00a0\u00a0
of mine own\u00a0
\u00a0
as well as always, thoughts of my Dad\u00a0
gone now fourteen years\u00a0
\u00a0
thinking of these two, on this day\u00a0
forever now commingled in my heart
with gratitude\u00a0
as is so easily attributed to each\u00a0
a certain humbleness and kindness\u00a0
a thinking sort of\u00a0\u00a0
intelligence\u00a0
and both very genuine in\u00a0
character\u00a0
\u00a0
and love\u00a0
\u00a0
a visitor so sweet\u00a0
a birthday to celebrate\u00a0
a passing\u00a0
to\u00a0honour\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
each of these lovely things combined
served up with a
thick and juicy berry smoothie
offered by my daughter <\/p>\n\n\n\n
set a day\u2019s reflection\u00a0
to bright\u00a0
and beautiful\u00a0
\u00a0
with love and gratitude
for all\u00a0 \u2665
