{"id":39,"date":"2015-06-14T14:44:46","date_gmt":"2015-06-14T18:44:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tamara.tedzplace.ca\/?p=39"},"modified":"2015-07-07T21:15:33","modified_gmt":"2015-07-08T01:15:33","slug":"perfectly-unbothered-by-raindrops","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tamara.tedzplace.ca\/?p=39","title":{"rendered":"perfectly unbothered by raindrops"},"content":{"rendered":"<blockquote><p>there are ways to manage sunshine<br \/>\nor so I&#8217;ve been told<\/p>\n<p>to keep it here<br \/>\nto keep it .. .. here<span class=\"text_exposed_show\"><br \/>\nto keep it, just<br \/>\nhere..<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<div class=\"text_exposed_show\">\n<blockquote><p>let&#8217;s take a walk, shall we<br \/>\nlet&#8217;s venture out<br \/>\nunder grey skies and raindrops<br \/>\nfeel the wet grass on our toes<br \/>\nand relish in it&#8217;s ticklish nature<br \/>\nlet&#8217;s rattle the branches<br \/>\nlet the droplets scatter, inspiring our dancing<br \/>\nas it falls down on our heads and trickles down our spines<br \/>\nno more hovering in doorways<br \/>\nunless of course it&#8217;s to steal a kiss<br \/>\nor two<br \/>\nno scowls to dark clouds overhead<br \/>\nwhose shadows have now cancelled our plans<br \/>\nfor the day<br \/>\nstep out..<br \/>\nstep out &#8230;<br \/>\nthere is no melting,<br \/>\nno ruin,<br \/>\nno rushing.<br \/>\nthe birds don&#8217;t seem to mind a bit<br \/>\nthey&#8217;re still chirping and squawking and flying about<br \/>\nno worries to hair dos and ruined silks<br \/>\nthey pluck worms from the garden<br \/>\nto feed their young<br \/>\nthe pond is now completely closed over in a blanket of brilliant green duckweed<br \/>\nseems our water lily has toppled over in the depths<br \/>\nand lies there .. .. unseen<br \/>\nI feel unable to remove the covering<br \/>\nor to rescue our lady<br \/>\nas to do so would disturb the flashing<br \/>\nof tadpoles still milling about<br \/>\nand the fish<br \/>\nand Mathew our snail<br \/>\nseem perfectly unbothered by raindrops above<br \/>\nthe poppy lies battered face down in the dirt<br \/>\nI feel you too &#8230; my sweet girl<br \/>\na dove waddling head first straight down the steep roof<br \/>\nnext door<br \/>\nseems to have forgotten he has wings<br \/>\nor possibly he&#8217;s just enjoying a rainy days &#8216;extreme&#8217; repelling .. .. makes me smile<br \/>\nand now he is softly cooing his tales of adventure to a mate or friend who&#8217;s answer comes from further away<br \/>\nthe breeze blows<br \/>\nthe clouds roll by<br \/>\nI can feel their heavy humidity<br \/>\nit weighs me down<br \/>\nbut if I search for you<br \/>\nmy ball of light<br \/>\nI find you there<br \/>\njust long enough to breathe you in<br \/>\nmind<br \/>\nbody<br \/>\nsoul<br \/>\nand to keep you<br \/>\njust there<\/p>\n<p>after all<br \/>\nthere are worst things<br \/>\nthan a little rain ..<\/p>\n<p>~tamara willems<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>there are ways to manage sunshine or so I&#8217;ve been told to keep it here to keep it .. .. here to keep it, just here.. let&#8217;s take a walk, shall we let&#8217;s venture out under grey skies and raindrops&hellip;
