instead of acknowledging what it is
I need
it comes out in frustration, to my husband
as a small rant
about opposite schedules and not enough time together
just as he is about to leave

which of course leaves him absolutely no time
for any kind of
fixer-
upping <\/p>\n\n\n\n
and me standing,\u00a0\u00a0
in the midst of groceries and laundry\u00a0
an old blind dog who has become very\u00a0\u00a0
needy\u00a0
a large less patient dog sprawled out\u00a0\u00a0
at my feet\u00a0
and cats wishing to be fed\u00a0
he perhaps knows, there will be ample time\u00a0
for me to get over myself\u00a0
in service
to the needy\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
instead of a leisurely sit with my book\u00a0
the washing machine\u00a0still ails\u00a0\u00a0
so, a trip to the laundromat this morning\u00a0
was necessary\u00a0
but certainly, there is gratitude\u00a0
that even that was available as an option\u00a0

several hours later into my day\u00a0
I take some time\u00a0
to sit with the words\u00a0
that seem to want\u00a0\u00a0
noting\u00a0

yesterday outside the greenhouse\u00a0
I stop for a minute\u00a0
to notice\u00a0\u00a0
a very small turtle, by the door\u00a0
deceased, possibly caught up in a freeze\u00a0
I pick it up, in kindness\u00a0
not much to it\u00a0
off the path, I set it back down in a more suitable\u00a0
gentler bit of green\u00a0

offer a bit of loving kindness\u00a0
