When I was quite small, I was
fairly severely punished for being a slow eater
to my memory, more
than a few times
at the place where I currently work
the speed of tasks is often mentioned
at what can be accomplished
and just
how many minutes, it should take <\/p>\n\n\n\n
however, I have always, I believe\u00a0
whether because, or despite\u00a0
moved\u00a0\u00a0
at my own pace in the world <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I rarely if ever rush, or hurry
neither though, would I say\u00a0
do I doddle or\u00a0\u00a0
plod\u00a0
I simply move to my own kind of\u00a0
rhythm\u00a0
always have\u00a0
I am not on trend, or certainly\u00a0
on point\u00a0
I am really just…\u00a0 this\u00a0
as I am<\/p>\n\n\n\n
which is of course, as you may guess
why I so value\u00a0
my garden\u00a0
more precisely my \u2018style\u2019 of garden\u00a0
which is one could say, rather lazy\u00a0
unregimented, free flowing\u00a0
to my thoughts, quite natural\u00a0
a little on the wild side\u00a0
(much\u00a0like my own personal style or lack\u00a0there of!)\u00a0
I don\u2019t much do manicured or\u00a0
perfection\u00a0
tidy and trim\u00a0
here I let things grow as they wish and most often,\u00a0
(even\u00a0to my husband\u2019s frustration)\u00a0
just where\u00a0they wish\u00a0
I do do boundaries, (as one must
sometimes to survive),
as a private person, I like fences
or more romantically, thoughts of a walled garden
I like sanctuary
\u00a0
really gardening for me is\u00a0
just watching and
wandering
it is quiet observation\u00a0
of the flowers and the trees\u00a0
of the toads, the birds, the bees\u00a0
and the butterflies\u00a0
of the occasional cat who sneaks in\u00a0
the squirrels, the chipmunks, the rabbits\u00a0
the hawk\u00a0
of the regulars and the visitors\u00a0
and those that\u00a0
surprise\u00a0
the ones that have been planted\u00a0
and the ones that\u00a0
survive\u00a0
\u00a0
we are gentleness and wonder\u00a0
we are seekers and wanderers\u00a0
we are listeners and dreamers\u00a0
we watch the clouds and the skies\u00a0
and the\u00a0
sun\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
we chat in own respective languages
sometimes we\u00a0
curse\u00a0
we vent, we rage\u00a0
we\u00a0\u00a0
cajole\u00a0
we smile, we mope, we\u00a0\u00a0
comfort\u00a0
we always, always without a doubt\u00a0
we always comfort\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
we trust, we notice
and we
breathe… in gratitude
this pace, in this world
is\u00a0\u00a0
us\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
just\u00a0
as it was meant to be \u2665
