This morning I finish a book by a highly accomplished, much determined\u00a0
quite inspiring, creative woman\u00a0
written about a dark and difficult time\u00a0\u00a0
in her life\u00a0
but coming out the other side
lovingly
and I finish it with that all familiar\u00a0
sigh…\u00a0

what is it you want in this life\u00a0
what is it\u00a0\u00a0
you\u00a0
want\u00a0
the measure of one\u2019s powers\u00a0
finding one\u2019s passion\u00a0
place in this world\u00a0
what is it then, come on, speak up\u00a0
\u00a0
really, I want always to love\u00a0
to know love and to give love\u00a0
to a world sometimes\u00a0\u00a0
sorely needing it\u00a0\u00a0
I want a heart that is pure of intention\u00a0
that stays open to\u00a0\u00a0
holding all and\u00a0
every\u00a0
I want kindness and courage to swallow me up\u00a0
and to coat my skin in\u00a0\u00a0
a delicate dusting\u00a0
of\u00a0
sugar\u00a0
I want clarity and conviction\u00a0
to course through my veins\u00a0
and bravery to rest\u00a0
in the pit\u00a0
of my stomach\u00a0
I want a path lined with cedar\u00a0
and\u00a0
footsteps to follow\u00a0
and whispers of endearment to keep me\u00a0
going\u00a0
I want in my own way, to offer you a chair\u00a0
for comfort\u00a0
or a boost should you be needing\u00a0\u00a0
to see over the fence\u00a0
I want to polish up your halo, and\u00a0
dust off your wings\u00a0
to pin that gold star on your chest\u00a0
I want to find the right words, in the right order\u00a0
and give them to you\u00a0\u00a0
in a special box\u00a0
and when you open it, it smells like cookies\u00a0\u00a0
fresh from the oven\u00a0
and when you pop one in your mouth\u00a0
it melts slowly down your throat and warms you\u00a0\u00a0
from the inside\u00a0
\u00a0
I want somehow to find the way\u00a0
to make your day just a little\u00a0
lighter\u00a0
to make you smile, or laugh\u00a0
or at the very least as if this\u00a0
hasn\u2019t all been\u00a0\u00a0
so\u00a0
bad\u00a0
\u00a0
I want to encourage, to enrich\u00a0
or enlighten (ha!)\u00a0
I want always to feel, as if I\u00a0\u00a0
put something good in the world\u00a0
that mattered\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
even\u00a0
in the gentlest way\u00a0\u00a0

at the very least, I want you to know\u00a0
that
