There is a kind of blessing to sitting
quietly
below a big full moon still hanging
in the morning sky
even a little before the sun begins its rise<\/p>\n\n\n\n
with coffee and
warm
slippers<\/p>\n\n\n\n
watching tiny chickadees at the feeder<\/p>\n\n\n\n
and thinking, these little fellows might be
the favourites, that is\u2026 until
the cardinals arrive
the blue jays and my woodpecker<\/p>\n\n\n\n
there is a kind of blessing too
to sitting with someone in need of
comfort
silently repeating words of loving kindness
that you know to use on
yourself
when that (all too familiar) feeling of quick sand is upon you<\/p>\n\n\n\n
and knowing, maybe even just
a holding
of
space will do,\u00a0 in keeping low embers
lit
there is a kind of blessing, yes
to sitting
with the feeling of divine grace
that comes
at precisely the point of surrender<\/p>\n\n\n\n
the deep, deep breath
and exhale
that washes one clean
shakes off the shadows
and kindly renews
the
spirit
the internal warming glow<\/p>\n\n\n\n
that knowingly reassures you
that this
loving the world thing<\/p>\n\n\n\n
is indeed
working<\/p>\n\n\n\n
as what flows through you
will almost always,
flow
to
