Sitting quietly in my chair by the window,
outside the sky turns itself
from a dull, blustery, overcast
grey
to a beautiful blue
white billowy clouds sailing
and sunshine beaming through
I had a phone appointment scheduled this morning
and so
I sat, baited of breath
ready, and silently rehearsing
until said time
where prep time is about two-hours
or more to truth, two days
and actual appointment time\u2026
two
minutes
followed soon after, by the very real need
to remind all internal workings
to
stand down
less tense, more
serene<\/p>\n\n\n\n
early spring has been rather up and down
temperature wise
where life is beginning to \u2018spring back\u2019
but much colder wintery type blasts
are not entirely ready
to leave off<\/p>\n\n\n\n
no real signs of toads basking in the warmth of
the sun, just yet
which I suppose isn\u2019t all bad, as
reconstruction on the big pond has begun
currently, mostly consisting of a big
muck out
before rebuilding<\/p>\n\n\n\n
it is quite a good time of year actually
where most of the \u2018garden work\u2019 consists of
watching and
waiting
for things to appear
and for temperatures to amp up enough
for new plantings
so not so much real working
instead (as always)
more
wandering<\/p>\n\n\n\n
at work,
one of my dearest and trusted friends
is away, and I am
stressed
however, I am also most fortunate
in that I am surrounded
by very kind souls
who bear with me
at break, a simple bite into my apple
and at the core, a perfect heart
revealed
and I stare at it for a few minutes
understanding
the constant barrage of the state of the world
dirty politics and things you need to know
fails to improve much
yet does aid in reminding myself to
shut-off and shut
out
unnecessary blather
focus instead, in my own way
on cherished friendships
on the things that bring me pleasure
on good books, on
interesting things, art and
old movies
on birds and nature
on kindness and
love
and things that make the world
gentle
and worthy of keeping oneself
soft
on the inside<\/p>\n\n\n\n
in tending to my own fragile places
and continuously sending out
prayers
for yours<\/p>\n\n\n\n
in always keeping one\u2019s eyes
and heart
open
to beautiful things
in beautiful
light <\/p>\n\n\n\n
and in trusting the universe
is always there
to listen \u00a0\u2665<\/p>\n\n\n\n
