Last week, Monday
I come in from work to tell him
I have hit my
low<\/p>\n\n\n\n
earlier, I have quite silently whispered to myself
I cannot go on
everything feels, as if I
am
much too fragile for this old world<\/p>\n\n\n\n
on the inside, I push through
a tough day
internally I crawl
into a corner
unnoticed
wrap myself, in a warm blanket
and hold myself
here<\/p>\n\n\n\n
even if I was to suggest to him
just how, he could help me
this
is precisely
what I need<\/p>\n\n\n\n
this small corner<\/p>\n\n\n\n
already it\u2019s become late September
and although a kind of rainy sort of week
it has remained quite beautiful
temperature wise
this year again, with a rambunctious and
ever curious puppy in our midst
the back gardens are rather non-existent
a few golden rod and the roses
are among the last remaining survivors
and the apple tree clings only to those
apples that hang high enough up
that a
bouncy boy still
cannot
reach
I will hold out hopes for recovery of the gardens
in the spring
lovely husband has offered to put up barriers
but I am so fond of soft edges
and do feel
nothing is so precious as to keep nature in
and other \u2018wild\u2019 wildlife
out<\/p>\n\n\n\n
sadly,
I haven\u2019t been able to spot the frog for a few days
although currently the water surface of the pond
is heavily decorated with golden pine needles
and I really don\u2019t want to poke around too much
and possibly disturb
yesterday, while I was having a peek
a very tiny toad hopped up on the large rock
beside me
and I was quite pleased
to see him<\/p>\n\n\n\n
also happy to report, the asters in the front gardens
are rather grandly
having their moment
(as I have done nothing about a new camera,
you\u2019ll just trust me on this)
the purples are plentiful, and the pinks
the bees and all possible pests
are most thrilled
the birds, all wondrously happy to have the seed
replenished<\/p>\n\n\n\n
from my chair, as I write
far, far up in the spruce tree, I can see
against a backing of blue sky
a beautiful glistening spider web
don\u2019t think I\u2019ve ever noticed one up so high
adventurous fellow,
or lady, I suppose
while right beside me, I am showering
terms of endearment
on a tiny
mushroom <\/p>\n\n\n\n
delightful, quiet
company<\/p>\n\n\n\n
it\u2019s a beautiful, beautiful
peace-filled Sunday
and wherever this small ramble
may find you dear friends
