Today,
I am enamoured
by change
(tis the season and all that)
today I am
besotted
by human kindness
today, I am absolutely awestruck
and amazed
by love<\/p>\n\n\n\n
and today, if you\u2019ll bear with me, will be an ode
to my lovely husband
that is to say, once again
just how very proud I am of
the characters that are him,
as well
as those
that surround him<\/p>\n\n\n\n
just over a month ago, we found ourselves completely
blindsided as my husband was
\u2018restructured\u2019 out of his job
a job he has dedicated a great deal of his life
(and I will say, our family\u2019s life) to
a job that even after 34 years of dedication
was cut\u2026 doors shut
without so much, as a thank you
and to put it mildly, we
were knocked
for
a
loop<\/p>\n\n\n\n
now this sort of thing will take some
absorbing, some
adjusting
some\u2026\u00a0 grieving
and a great deal of
letting
go<\/p>\n\n\n\n
and instead of getting stuck in to
the uncaring-ness of those who give no thought
to the very personal toll this make take
my lovely husband instead,
takes the time he needs,
does some things he loves
and best of all,
has the good, good fortune to find himself
surrounded and supported
by the most kind, caring and loving friends
who indeed do care, just how he\u2019s doing
who check in,
who check on
who are sure, to be there for him<\/p>\n\n\n\n
some,
having been through this themselves<\/p>\n\n\n\n
we are,
astonished
perhaps we shouldn\u2019t be, he is
a good, good man
(in my humble opinion) <\/p>\n\n\n\n
we are forever grateful for kindness
(I won\u2019t name, names here \u2013 for fear of my dodgy memory
leaving someone out \u2013 but you know who you are)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
very early on, we said, we would try to look at this
as an
opportunity
as indeed, it has been
my love has been offered, and now accepted
a new job
and all of this is to say, how very, very proud I am
of him
he continues to amaze me
even after all this time
and just how much
I love him <\/p>\n\n\n\n
as well this comes as
a sincere Thank you, to those
that we
are most fortunate
to call<\/p>\n\n\n\n
friends \u2665<\/p>\n\n\n\n
