Today, it\u2019s just a perfect fall day,
wet and
soggy
the colours outside are still
brilliant
rain, almost always
is
needed
and it\u2019s Sunday\u2026 so it suits<\/p>\n\n\n\n
this morning, quiet start
coffee with my love
and conversation of things to come
new chapters unfolding
in real time<\/p>\n\n\n\n
we talk this morning about
changes to make, here at home
to accommodate
better uses
of space<\/p>\n\n\n\n
we talk about possibly shifting a
piano
that we have always had
in this spot
but has it become a kind of
place holder, where we
put
stuff
adjustments to make, if space
was created<\/p>\n\n\n\n
we are, I suppose
in an
adjustment period
of our lives<\/p>\n\n\n\n
so today, I\u2019m thinking again about
all this
stuff…
stuff we shoulder, stuff we accumulate,
stuff we keep
physical things, mental things
as well as emotional things<\/p>\n\n\n\n
things we have, things we want
things we
carry
in this world, in this life
in this
body<\/p>\n\n\n\n
and the commonality of things<\/p>\n\n\n\n
what I want to carry is love,
peace, contentment
simple things
joy<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I know I can carry grief
empathy, disappointment
even at times
overwhelm<\/p>\n\n\n\n
what I don\u2019t want to carry are
things with weight
burdens, anger, shame, fear
outrage
expectations, judgements,
obli-
ga-
t
i
o
n
s<\/p>\n\n\n\n
dust<\/p>\n\n\n\n
possibly, with a somewhat \u00a0
\u2018significant\u2019 birthday for me, approaching
in a couple of weeks
as well as
this wet, shadowy sort of
October-y weather
has me thinking today,
about making meaningful
our days
our
spaces<\/p>\n\n\n\n
this today\u2026 \u00a0is my
wander<\/p>\n\n\n\n
so, in light of this
might I send you, all good wishes
and many, many blessings
for the week
ahead<\/p>\n\n\n\n
and might you think
to walk gently
and,
lightly<\/p>\n\n\n\n
