Last night at dinner,
my first spoonful of tomato soup
and soda crackers
aw, looooook I say to him
the broken bit of cracker on my spoon<\/p>\n\n\n\n
a perfectly lovely heart<\/p>\n\n\n\n
the other day at work,
it\u2019s the time of year that the whitewash comes off
of the greenhouse
and I remind myself that I
can see the sky…<\/p>\n\n\n\n
this morning in the garden
on yet another gorgeous fall day
it occurs to me
that the cedar really is a most wonderful
display
of how autumn is to be
the warm, spicy sort of orange against the
greenest greens
and the rough, beautiful browns
of the bark
the scent that smells of
comfort<\/p>\n\n\n\n
at the weekend, last
we had dinner and spent the night with
the kindest most comfortable
of friends
to which I, involuntarily
walked in masking the most horrible of
moods
completely unnoticed, on the threshold
I seem to misplace
the cloud I\u2019d been under
and once again, loving kindness proves
the best medicine<\/p>\n\n\n\n
this weekend a birthday approaches
and today, the one who loves me most
does a little late shopping
for something special
to
surprise<\/p>\n\n\n\n
