This morning I notice a book
under the nightstand
by our bed<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s called Fifty on Fifty or
something of that nature
while here I am on the eve of
ten years past
and\u2026  I\u2019m not even sure I have read it<\/p>\n\n\n\n

it seems strange yet, somehow I
am about to hit some sort of
milestone
today then, with that title stuck in my head
has me thinking about
sixty on sixty
so\u2026  here you are
completely random thoughts, in no particular order –  as my love will tell you
with me, this is precisely how they come:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  1. Love is Love is Love\u2026\u00a0\u00a0 you will never convince me otherwise<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Should the words \u2018I love you\u2019 cross your mind,\u00a0 say it out loud<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Kindness matters, in all ways,
    always<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Always consider another opinion \u2013 even if\u2026\u00a0 you do not agree<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Do NOT decide on someone else\u2019s story, until you have listened<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. As an adult\u2026\u00a0 do not fight with\u00a0your brother<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  7. If someone talks you into holding resentment towards another\u2026
    drop any and all loyalties, and decide for yourself<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  8. Don\u2019t live your life being bullied by \u2018shoulds\u2019<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  9. Go pee, when you have to go pee
    (otherwise, maybe not in the middle of a grocery store)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  10. Say I love you, and say it often
    (regardless if you think they already know it)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  11. Read a book, read a book, read a book<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  12. Acknowledge and say Thank you to people in any form of
    customer service<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  13. Don\u2019t do things just to be nice, do things because
    you are kind<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  14. Pay attention to what makes you happy<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  15. Look at the sky<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  16. Notice trees<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  17. And birds<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  18. Children<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  19. Babies<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  20. And dogs<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  21. Try not to miss a good gaze at the moon
    (full or otherwise)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  22. Find things to be grateful for<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  23. Celebrate, big things and small victories<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  24. Cherish your friendships
    (in your own way)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  25. You DO NOT have to follow the crowd<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  26. Pay attention to your breath<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  27. Sometimes comfort zones can be just that \u2013 Comfort<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  28. Grow less lawn!!
    (certainly better than grumbling about having to cut the grass)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  29. Learn about things you don\u2019t know – instead of pretending you do<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  30. Always stay open to learning, as well to new ways
    of looking at things<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  31. Tell people how wonderful you think they are AND
    why < this\u2026 \u00a0the important part<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  32. No matter, the number
    you can be as perfectly silly or as perfectly serious
    any time you wish – with respect to others, of course<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  33. Always reserve your right to question
    authority<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  34. Speak up for injustice<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  35. Don\u2019t believe the hype (especially in this day and age)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  36. Find out for yourself<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  37. Listen to love songs<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  38. Look at art<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  39. Get good sleep<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  40. Move your body<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  41. Find more ways to listen<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  42. Connect when you can, withdraw when you
    must<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  43. Respect your right to say, no thank you<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  44. Respect yourself, and DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES
    let anyone treat you less than<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  45. Believe in goodness<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  46. And Santa Claus<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  47. Let things go – because they will<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  48. Value presence<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  49. In this age of not believing, sometimes you just have to
    trust<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  50. Things have a way of working out,\u00a0as they should<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  51. If added on to someone\u2019s \u2018expertise\u2019, is trying to sell you something,
    they\u2026 are trying to sell you something<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  52. Sometimes it is necessary to indulge yourself in a
    very bad mood.\u00a0 Just try to keep from inflicting it upon
    someone else. (that\u2019s the tricky bit)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  53. Do invest in recognizing \u2013 when it\u2019s just you<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  54. Open yourself up to other genres, be it music, movies, books, art
    people, cultures, countries, beliefs<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  55. Instead of accumulating followers, be sure to consciously
    appreciate kindred fellow-ers<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  56. Make time to be still<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  57. Periodically remember to do things that the small child in you
    thought was wonderful<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  58. Do try always, to be open to wonder<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  59. Treat yourself to something you love<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  60. Always, always celebrate your birthday! <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
