Yesterday morning,
I go out to fill the bird feeders
and marvel at just how lovely fall
can be
in all the changing of shades
everywhere you look is colour
and how beautiful
the leaves
on the ground<\/p>\n\n\n\n
busying myself with laundry and such
the next time I look out
an even more gorgeous collage of
colour
two robins, red-breasts splashing in the bird bath
a beautiful blue jay in for peanuts
at the squirrel picnic table
tiny red-breasted nuthatch on the silo feeder
and the larger white-breasted nuthatch
waiting, on the trumpet vine nearby
at the larger feeder by the pond
a red-bellied woodpecker
surprises me, as he is not a frequent, but still
a most welcome visitor
his back looks much like the flicker, but his head
is a much more gorgeous red
the juncos in their grey and soft white wintry
attire
and the sparrows
all in at once, for what appears
a most joyous feast<\/p>\n\n\n\n
this morning, as was predicted
the first snowfall, befalls us
it is November after all
clocks have changed, fall begins to try on
heaping bits of fluff
things in the garden prepare themselves
to be tucked in tight<\/p>\n\n\n\n
it\u2019s the time of year to think of
cozy things, and snuggles
I don\u2019t much like the cold myself,
cold fingers and cold toes
instead I think of spicy things and warm things
books and blankets
cups of tea
time spent indoors has one thinking more
of creative things<\/p>\n\n\n\n
and in the continued bizarre-ness of times
how best<\/p>\n\n\n\n
to put some goodness
in the world<\/p>\n\n\n\n
the other day at work, a wet spot from the rain
on the gravel path
has me notice
a rather large heart shape
and I make it a point, to stand
both feet
right
at its centre<\/p>\n\n\n\n
and from here
I send out loving kindness
to find you
May you be well\u00a0dear friends
May you be well, and
safe
fed
cozy and
warm<\/p>\n\n\n\n
in the very least<\/p>\n\n\n\n
May you be
and might you always think
to spend a little
time
considering others
too \u2665<\/p>\n\n\n\n
