I am a hockey fan<\/p>\n\n\n\n

tonight,
my hockey team comes back
to regular season<\/p>\n\n\n\n

and I am feeling\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

somewhat sick
to my
stomach<\/p>\n\n\n\n

having recently read so much about
the toxic
misogynistic energies that still surround
the
culture
for the most part, undeterred, underneath
unpunished and
un-
changed<\/p>\n\n\n\n

news cycles filled with money, power
and over inflated egos
using and abusing
because they can
and those who vie for attachment
despite all continued efforts to distract
from
exposure<\/p>\n\n\n\n

when someone shows you who they are
when group mentality shows you
who they are<\/p>\n\n\n\n

there are no excuses
these are not small boys
and these are certainly not honourable men<\/p>\n\n\n\n

if violence and bravado
and the false cloak of glory
is all that cradles your fragile male ego
you have draped yourself
in
fools gold<\/p>\n\n\n\n

you do not shine bright
by diminishing the light of someone else<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am a hockey fan,
but I am finding it really hard
to consider looking at it
the
same.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Outside my door
this morning,
foot prints up the front walk<\/p>\n\n\n\n

came\u2026 and
went
without taking the stairs<\/p>\n\n\n\n

but
leaving signs of love<\/p>\n\n\n\n

in this fast paced world of
disillusionment
take care of your hearts my friends,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

and do try to stay
human  \u2665<\/p>\n\n\n\n
