Outside, the back garden looks bleak
very early spring, it\u2019s true<\/p>\n\n\n\n
but most anywhere you look
the dogs have trampled
and one particular fellow, has chewed
and dug
and just generally annihilated
any resemblance of
beautifying nature<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I\u2019ve been away from my usual writing post
I\u2019m sure your noticed, (ha!)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
reasons for this are
varied<\/p>\n\n\n\n
one being the need for a new
laptop
thanks in part to a bouncy pup very
curious in nature
also, time seems to be a factor
or rather
uninterrupted time
the third and most probable
biggest
thing
my old friend anxiety has been
wreaking havoc with my insides
to where I said to him the other day
I\u2019m just so tired of being afraid of everything<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I mean, perhaps it\u2019s the state of the world
the constant feed of misogynistic insanity from south of our border
windows flying open for people to yell
their prejudices in all directions
celebrate ignorance, uncaring, selfishness
if it strokes your fragile ego, or stands to increase your
billions
if it keeps you thinking your superiority and your strength
are in your
bro code
blech… I\u2019m just tired of it all<\/p>\n\n\n\n
maybe it\u2019s the time of year, late winter can sometimes
drag
certainly there is something heartening in our
increasing light
I know what I need is more time spent
in my yoga studio
more
movement
more
out of doors, allergies be damned!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I know when anxiety is high, and fear
is strong
quiet comfort and whispered graces
are what get me through<\/p>\n\n\n\n
so outside today, I look for signs of spring
and
listen to the birds
then try to get a few of these jumbled up words
out of my head<\/p>\n\n\n\n
cause that comes as comfort
too<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Spring arrives in hopeful things, and definite strength
in numbers
we get there… don’t we<\/p>\n\n\n\n
keep your hearts open my friends
find a hand to hold, even if
it’s your own
and do try<\/p>\n\n\n\n
to be
