This morning as my husband is
outside
busying himself
for his day
a woman out on the street, walking her dogs
calls to him
Excuse me<\/em>, she says quite excitedly
there are two baby bunnies in your front garden<\/em>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

before long, I see that one brave little
explorer
has come under the gate
into the side yard
ever cautious of our own resident Mr. McGregor
in the form a very curious boxer
who is always alert to anything
that moves and might possibly want to
play<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I don\u2019t get out until about noon today
to pick up my veg
down the drive I am immediately greeted by
a monarch butterfly
and we both pause for minute, so that we might
greet each other properly
then I am off
while stopped at the traffic lights
waiting to cross
I hear a voice from a car
and where I wouldn\u2019t usually respond or even
pay much attention
today I look up, and see
the face of someone dear, who I love
as the light changes
she points to me, and I point
to
her
and my heart bubbles over
in a smile
ear
to
ear<\/p>\n\n\n\n

the sky today is gorgeously clear
wonderful sunshine and the breeze
is just right
not quite sure of the quality of air these days
from the wildfires
as headaches do persist<\/p>\n\n\n\n

yet on days such as this, it is hard to think of
staying indoors<\/p>\n\n\n\n

back at home, I stop in at my little library
making sure everything is
neat
hardly keeping track of what goes out or
comes in
I have found someone or someones
greatly appreciating the teeny-beanie animals that I add
so I try to keep them stocked
of course trying to foster reading habits
is the goal
but thoughts of delighted discoveries
of treasure
bring much
joy<\/p>\n\n\n\n

thistle and Queen Anne\u2019s Lace are quite abundant
in the front gardens this year
which I find absolutely wonderful
the number of butterflies, bees and even the goldfinch
would indicate that they maybe think so
too<\/p>\n\n\n\n

while in the back, I\u2019m sharing space with
the ever boisterous little brown wren
a small gang of – often noisy themselves, although
very polite
five young blue jays
the lovely mourning doves
and a gorgeous couple of cardinals
oh, and of course our resident frog, who croaks away
as the dogs bark
the toads currently are much preferring the cooler evening
temperatures
as well as avoiding run-ins with
the ever curious snout and bouncy feet
of our Wizzy-boy<\/p>\n\n\n\n

the fireflies this year have been
plentiful
I do hope you might have noticed

I am currently almost 800 pages through
my summer read
and coming along just
nicely
I have watched some really wonderful documentaries
of late,
one, a lovely friendship between a Canadian woman and a Lebanese Nun
one, a man in Newfoundland single-handedly making efforts to remove garbage
from the ocean
and one, about incredibly, enormous sea lifts treacherously traveling much needed necessities
to the North<\/p>\n\n\n\n

kindness, friendship, love, purpose, intent, goodness<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I do hope this brief aimless wander -(with no click bait, no shock bait, no links
to your future)
finds you well
and enjoying your own little space in this world
with equal opportunities
for
delight

May love and kindness surround you
every gentle, uneventful
step
of
the
way <\/p>\n\n\n\n
