I guess I didn\u2019t realize how close to tears, I was
although really, it is
almost always
the case<\/p>\n\n\n\n
you know the expression, I feel this
I can tell you, I
am in a perpetual state
of
feeling
this<\/p>\n\n\n\n
earlier this week, I wrote to a friend
it seems fall has just quietly snuck in on beautiful slippers
gently removing the extreme heat
bringing along cooler evenings for
sleeping
comfortably.
How wonderful!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
very fond I am of spring with all of it\u2019s
promise
and gloriously hot summers do
soothe the skin
but fall always seems to be a sort of
gentle time
of
transition
doesn\u2019t it
still<\/p>\n\n\n\n
the garden begins
to thin
some things to golden, some
to
brown
things start to feel
less
active
this is not to say that some lovely beings
are not busy
socking away their stores for
less abundant seasons
but the constant rattle and
hum
tends to die down a little
readying I suppose
all
of
us
for times of rest<\/p>\n\n\n\n
days have been simply beautiful
beginning in sunshine
and skies so
blue
clouds have been wonderfully
wispy
and the roses just keep coming forth
completely unbothered by subtle hints of
cooling<\/p>\n\n\n\n
even so, you know
it feels an equally important time to
keep reminding oneself
of love<\/p>\n\n\n\n
to walk away from dirty politics
and foundations built on ridiculous lies
to leave off gigantic egos and amasses of
millions
to boldly showing your racism and bigotry
misogyny and rot
in thinking you are showing how smart you are
when instead…
you\u2019re just
scared
to care instead about people
about
people
smaller picture stuff
instead of sweeping broad brushes
slathered in
paint<\/p>\n\n\n\n
care about how you are and
where you are
and if you are well<\/p>\n\n\n\n
to surrounding yourself and all
of those around you
in love
and in kindness<\/p>\n\n\n\n
in gentler ways
of loving
as days become
just that little bit
shorter
and nights
when you can lay down your head
snuggle under blankets
in gratitude
for keeping your heart open
and
for feeling<\/p>\n\n\n\n
all
of this \u2665<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
