{"id":620,"date":"2016-05-28T14:57:44","date_gmt":"2016-05-28T18:57:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tamara.tedzplace.ca\/?p=620"},"modified":"2016-05-28T14:57:44","modified_gmt":"2016-05-28T18:57:44","slug":"i-am-this","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tamara.tedzplace.ca\/?p=620","title":{"rendered":"I am this &#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I come with my coffee, my book and my camera<br \/>\nto the cabin<br \/>\nto sit by the pond.<br \/>\nThis is the quiet, I need.<br \/>\nBusy weekend, last weekend<br \/>\nbusy work week<br \/>\nno time allotted<br \/>\nto just<br \/>\nsit<br \/>\nin the quiet nature<br \/>\nof my garden.<br \/>\nAs soon as I arrive, at the pond, I feel my heart swell. As I have written about before, \u00a0it was always my intention to have as natural a pond as we could create.<br \/>\nNo pumps,<br \/>\nno extra aesthetics<br \/>\njust the stillness<br \/>\nand movement<br \/>\nand beauty<br \/>\nof nature<br \/>\nand life<br \/>\nand here it is &#8230;<br \/>\nFour lily pads have now reached the surface, the fish are wonderfully jubilant this morning. \u00a0One is looking rather plump to me, \u00a0possibly suggesting baby fishes soon? \u00a0The tadpoles are fully proper tadpoles now, with their very round heads and bodies and their swishy tails. \u00a0On the far side I see a toad madly stroking his way over to the edge, then hoping out to sit on the rocks. \u00a0In a very short time he is joined by a friend. \u00a0After a brief chat they slip back in to the gentle waters.<br \/>\nI look now to my girls, who are always sat here by their little cottage, \u00a0watching, waiting, welcoming my visit. \u00a0The cardinal stops by for a brief check in, and to display the brilliant beauty of his crimson coat. \u00a0He knows just how very much I admire him. \u00a0Followed soon after by my friend, Mr Blue (Jay) who sits quite close by, waiting for me to greet him properly.<br \/>\nThe only sounds right now, are nature. \u00a0The air is heavily scented with the abundance of wisteria blooms now welcoming many, many bees.<br \/>\nThis for me, is my paradise.<br \/>\nRaindrops begin silently to scatter bubbles and ripples across the ponds surface,<br \/>\nand I am actually now caught in reverence<br \/>\nsat in silent tears<br \/>\nsuddenly overwhelmed by the absolute serene\u00a0beauty<br \/>\nin all of this<br \/>\nthis is my souls<br \/>\nsmile<br \/>\nmy breath<br \/>\nmy heart<br \/>\nmy be &#8211; ing<br \/>\njust here &#8230;<br \/>\nnow<\/p>\n<p>I am not much of a photographer,<br \/>\nI lack the steady hands, I guess<br \/>\nbut I try sometimes to capture<br \/>\nthe feeling of the quiet beauty,<br \/>\nthat moves me<br \/>\nsometimes even,<br \/>\nto tears<br \/>\nit serves me I guess<br \/>\nthat I am not much of a &#8216;goer&#8217;<br \/>\nI so more appreciate quiet stillness,<br \/>\nI am, I suppose,<br \/>\na stayer<br \/>\nan observer<br \/>\nand yes, a Lover<br \/>\nI see all things<br \/>\nwith Love<br \/>\nI am not sure, I am brave enough<br \/>\nto yet call myself much of a writer<br \/>\nbut I am pulled to write things here<br \/>\nas to bear witness<br \/>\nand to acknowledge the many<br \/>\nsimple opportunities for Joy<br \/>\nfor wonder<br \/>\nfor beauty<br \/>\nfor Love<br \/>\nand yes,<br \/>\nas always,<br \/>\nfor Gratitude<\/p>\n<p>and maybe sometimes,<br \/>\nyou (or I) may think<br \/>\nthat I am not<br \/>\nmuch<br \/>\nbut I know today, here<br \/>\nby my pond<br \/>\nfull of life, full of beauty, full of wonder<br \/>\nrefreshed by rain<br \/>\nbreathing in quiet<br \/>\nand stillness<br \/>\nyet equally thrilled by a sudden crack<br \/>\nof thunder<br \/>\nenraptured by the<br \/>\nreturn<br \/>\nof the sun<\/p>\n<p>this<br \/>\nin this very moment<\/p>\n<p>this is paradise<br \/>\nand I assure you,<br \/>\nI<br \/>\nam<br \/>\nthis \u2665<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I come with my coffee, my book and my camera to the cabin to sit by the pond.
