Blue skies smiling at me,<\/em>
\n nothing but blue skies <\/em>
\ndo I see .. \u266a<\/em><\/p>\n

I gather in the quiet of the morning
\nby the pond
\nin my spot
\nwith a big bowl of fruit
\nand fresh mint
\nan intermittent breeze whispers it’s way
\nthrough the leaves
\ninviting the wind chimes to dance
\nthe birds weigh in
\nand my neighbour, who is quite a prolific whistler
\nenlivens the morning
\nwith song<\/p>\n

Amazing how fast the tadpoles are growing
\nLily is sitting closed up today,
\nnearing the end of her show
\nwhile another waits in the wings
\nfor her moment of glory
\na little rustle at the ponds edge
\nand then a gentle
\nPlop!<\/p>\n

the most wonderful sound<\/p>\n

as the toad slips in for a dip
\na giant dragonfly, the size of a small
\nhelicopter
\nhovers low above the water
\na swallowtail butterfly visits the phlox
\nand a sweet little cabbage white
\nflutters around
\nMr. Blue comes and goes without bother
\nsnacking on peanuts while
\ntossing aside the bits he doesn’t care for
\nAbsolutely no one is posing for pictures today
\nand that’s ok
\nI bear quiet witness
\nand they leave me
\nwith smile<\/p>\n

Not sure what the girls have gotten up to
\nlast night
\nbut things seem a little topsy – turvy
\nat the cottage<\/p>\n

again,
\nmaybe not to disturb them
\njust yet …<\/p>\n

the great Ella Fitzgerald is in my head today<\/p>\n

bluebirds singing a song<\/em>
\nnothing but bluebirds, all day long . \u00a0\u266a<\/em><\/p>\n

and this,<\/p>\n

if I could wrap you up in sunlight
\nand you could feel
\nthe beauty in
\nyour beams<\/p>\n

if I could sing to you softly
\na symphony of rhythms
\nto gently soothe
\nyour soul<\/p>\n

if I could bring you a smile
\neach morning
\nas you rise
\nperfectly rested
\nlike the morning paper<\/p>\n

if I could bless your day
\nwith kind thoughts
\nthat touch your heart
\nand warm
\nyour toes<\/p>\n

if each time you think of me
\nit’s like we have just met
\nand greeted each other
\nwith a large, lingering
\nhug<\/p>\n

and in that
\nour souls have danced
\nand known
\ncomfort<\/p>\n

tenderness
\nand Joy<\/p>\n

that would always be there
\nwhen you needed
\nto find it<\/p>\n

if I could
\nI would give to you
\nall of this<\/p>\n

and a big bowl of fruit<\/p>\n

and you
\nwould always know
\nLove \u2665<\/p>\n

I never saw the sun shining so bright<\/em>
\nnever saw things going so right<\/em>
\nnoticing the days hurrying by<\/em>
\nwhen your in love, my how they fly .. \u00a0\u266a<\/em><\/p>\n
