my gardening style

organized chaos
\nas my Love likes to call

\nand this ‘style’ allows me

some things I have planted

\njust come
\nto me
\nand I am always
\nGrateful
\nto see their beautiful faces

and if you would walk

\nyou would hear me greet them

I am equally cordial
\nto butterflies, and birds
\nbees and dragonflies
\nchipmunks and squirrels
\ntoads, worms
\nand even spiders
\n(less so, I must confess
\nto Japanese beetles
\nas they are much too destructive

each lovely bit of green
\nI leave them all to their
\nfree will
\nto ramble and reseed
\nto flower
\nand to fruit<\/p>\n
here in my garden
\nwe smile at the sun
\nand are thankful
\nfor the rain
\nwe offer each other only beauty
\nand kindness
\nspaces to stretch
\nand freedom
\nto share
\nyour own colours
\nand there is always room
\nfor more<\/p>\n
we breathe deep
\nand we grow
\nwe lovingly cultivate<\/p>\n
compassionately
