\nbehind him the leaves
\nare quickly changing
\ntheir dresses
\nfrom emeralds and forests
\nto scarlets and gold
\nand some
\nare willfully
\nfalling
\naway
\nin gentle spirals
\nof descent<\/p>\n
even under skies of grey
\nhow beautifully they
\nseem to be
\nthe trees ..
\nstrong and confident
\ngrounded
\nin the art

\nchanging

\nletting go<\/p>\n
to a deep inhale \u2026<\/p>\n
there it is really
\nthis practice

always
\nmuch to learn

strangely I remain rather

\nin the face of what I may
\nhave lost
\nfaith I suppose in my dear friend
\ntechnical guide and computer guru

\nwill rescue me
\nunscathed
\nyet sometimes
\nwondering why I thought something that I

perhaps though

\nmy practice these days

\nto release fret

next week
\nI have another birthday fast approaching
\nthat odd little number that I rarely recognize

\nnever does this cause me dread
\nas I believe instead
\nin celebration

\nnext week my oldest child graduates University,
\na day later
\nmy youngest child graduates high school
\nand while I could allow myself
\nto be swallowed up in the rapid
\npassage of time
\nI instead choose
\nto bask in great pride
\nat the wonder
\nof all
\nof this
\nand the largeness
\nof my
\nheart<\/p>\n
to allowing
\nthe ebb and flow
\nof life

\nto come and
