Tamara Willems

reflections of splendour

well,  she finally arrived,
in  all her gracious splendour
the first day of fall, and one could not ask for a more glorious entrance than this!

I step out into my ray of light this morning to be heartily received by a chorus of  ‘chick-a-dee-dee-dee’.  I know it is really me that they are professing their love to, and not just my suet cakes.  I say good morning to the fishies, bright and beautifully waiting at the surface for my arrival.
Admire the tadpoles, down in numbers, but still swishing away in their own private meeting place.  Sunshine sparkles thorough spiderwebs masterfully planned and executed.  I walk to the garden to check on the tomatoes still ripening, basking in the glory of the sun.  A bumble bee buzzes  just then, directly behind me, so close as to make all the tiny hairs on my neck stand up and send tingles racing through my body.  For a moment, I am perfectly still.
As I turn around, I see tiny pine cone seeds spiraling through light to the ground, and I think of a wish.
My wish is this –

that you will at least once a day
find your sunlight
quiet your mind, close your eyes
raise your face to the sun
and breathe

breathe in light
breathe in beauty
breathe in Love

breathe in forgiveness

breathe in kindness
breathe in wonder
breathe in Joy

it’s all there …

it’s all,
here

it’s not in your politics, it’s not in your social issues, it’s not in past hurts and perceived wrongs
it’s not in competition, in favours, in privileges

it’s in Love
it’s in Light
it’s in
You.

and all one has to do is
just be open

to the beauty, which is there
just where you are

with your face to the sun

that’s my wish ..

and then.
we would be in this together
and that’s a really nice place to be ♥
