Welcome to Respectfully Keeping Your Distance 22.20
my name is Tamara
and I’ll be your guide,
first things first, I suggest you begin your day
slowly and
with a smile
cause chances are, you have not had to rise early
and rush off to…
anywhere
if the sun is shining then there is your motivation also,
and should there be no sun – discovering you have again made it
successfully to morning
seems to be reason enough
to
smile
if you find yourself healthy, then now would be a good time
to offer up some gratitude
for this
begin with a little music if you wish, I prefer classical to start,
(increasing in style, genre, beats and volume throughout the day)
a little warm water and lemon is advised, but any beverage of your choice
is now acceptable, certainly coffee is welcome
some light reading, books are preferred (newspapers at this point,
are only used for lining the bin)
next some stretching is required, or some kind of physical activity
of your choice
(admittedly some more enjoyable than others.. please use your discretion)
do be sure at certain points in your day to take necessary gazes
out of doors, windows and indoors
to notice how the light falls on objects and surfaces that
surround
also full deep inhales and gentle slow
exhales of air, filling your lungs
and releasing
can be beneficial and indeed rather necessary
now it would be customary to
send out words of
gratitude, kindness and love
to someone, anyone who may come to mind
some sort of brightening of the day (as this happens to work very effectively I find, in both directions)
all three of the above mentioned tasks should be repeated often throughout your day
at some point during your stay (in), it will be necessary for nourishment
I find it is best when you can find someone rather wonderful
to provide the necessary meals,
however when this is not possible, please do try to choose wisely
(absolutely based on the amount of time one has spent on the morning’s first activity of sitting to read)
frequently throughout the day, it is advisable to keep ones eyes (and heart) open for beautiful things
to catch
at some point it will become necessary to touch base with the outside world
generally via some form of social media,
it is most advisable here to use caution when allowing things
to penetrate the lovely unfettered calmness
of your personal space
bubble
followed soon after by a brisk walk, or perhaps an ambling sort of wander
through the great outdoors
(of course keep a safe distance from any fellow ‘outsiders’)
the rest of the day may be spent on a few chores,
laundry and such
possibly some baking
work in the yard,
a dance party or two, and absolutely imperative here to your well-being
some sort of creative endeavour, make or do something
that feeds
your
soul
you will be allotted plenty of free time here
to move about the cabin
snacks will be provided (as in, provided you can get them yourself!)
coffee and tea will be brewed throughout the day
and water is always readily
available
dinner, a sit down together at the table
and dishes,
followed soon after by a movie, documentary, nature show, reading is perfectly acceptable or occasionally another brisk walk
it is usually customary at this point to take note of the night sky,
as to whether everyone present will be called out to
bear witness
(cause who wants to miss this?)
our day concludes, quietly
gently and
with much, much gratitude
another necessary stretch,
then,
with a smile
to a snuggle in
and
rest
I will be available at any time should you feel the need
for a refresh, or some company (from afar)
as together we work through this new course of action
until such time as we get through this
and things return to
‘normal’
where you may resume your regular active lifestyle
and I
will most gladly stay
here
in fond memory of the social distance… that was.
and by all means,
please keep your sense of humour
I have a feeling… (if you’re a freshman here)
you’re gonna need it ♥
