A rather ordinary sort of day
one might think,
one in which nothing very spectacular
may be
happening
but one in which words from the lovely
Kate Bowler, to be a loving presence
will set wings to my heart
and a regular walk past
the small window on the stairs
that has me
looking
even though I know the tiny dove babies
have flown
and worrying that the wet windy weather
at the weekend, had blown the small remnants of nest
away
but to see it still there,
and today, a tiny chipmunk sitting
curled
in that cozy spot
my own kind of
miraculous discovery

one in which I will wonder how best
to express sincere gratitude
to a friend
for continued kindness
and just how many ways there may be
to
show
my husband
my love
one in which there are great reasons
to celebrate
a friend’s birthday
and another’s
engagement
the beautiful, full,
full moon
that comfortingly lingered
in the morning sky
a gorgeous sunny day, and a cool
breeze
that seems to have the flowers
feeling
a little more
at
ease
everything set to
sway
all in all, a pretty wonderfully ordinary
day
to find something
small
to celebrate ♥
