It is
a simple thing, and a wonderful thing
an easy thing
and sometimes, you might think
a difficult thing
often it’s a little thing
that feels
like a very large
thing
this thing called kindness
that should, I believe
indeed be
the most natural thing
in this great big world of infinite
disasters
it can feel like such
a negligible, trivial
thing
in the hustle and bustle
of busy days
it can be a much overlooked
thing
in the flash of small screens
and grandiose self-promotion
it appears to have become
a somewhat
unnecessary thing
but to us as humans
in a world, as one
it is a very,
very
important
thing
it is the thing that forms the best part of me
that sustains me
and hopefully
that you will always
find
in me
it is the very thing we seek
to make life
bearable
and
it is always the thing
we should be open to
receiving
it is indeed
the worthiest thing

it is kindness
kindness is the thing
for in it’s grace,
we
are all able to find
our own
