Tamara Willems

snow falls and a wintery wish…

The snow came down in the night
and continues to fall
the trees take on an adornment of lovely frosty white fluff
my morning is touched by the kindness of a friend
and my first wedge of panetonne (seems criminal as it is already the 23rd!)
so I am smiling as I go out to freshen the bird feeders
the outside world is a glorious wintery white
and the loveliest fresh air enlivens me
easy to breathe in
and wonderfully cleansing to a sagging spirit
it feels so good ..  to breathe…
seeds for the birds, and monkey nuts for the squirrels
and the blues
with all feeders full, I decide since it seems so lovely out
I’m just not ready to go in
perhaps I should shovel a bit of the drive
my husband has gone out already, first to a morning catering
before he’s off to regular work and a large Victorian Dinner
in between the two
he pulls in the drive just as I am finishing
and laughs at how cute I am in his big winter boots
and large flannel coat
my hair still wet from the shower
I tell him, I’m sure the neighbours appreciate it too
one more work shift, and then we
(the loveliest of words)
draw in
already, I can feel the ease and comfort
of
this
the sun breaks through in the sky,
and I raise up from my toes, until I am tall
and smiling wide, consumed by light
then
in gratitude
I send my holiday wishes to you
that you may be surrounded by wonder and beauty
comfort and joy
ease and graciousness
and always
Love and kindness

and then,
I send you peace
to find you whole,
and should there be any small spaces where you might be
aching
I send you a little extra Love
to
fill you up

and to whatever you may be celebrating
I do hope you are
celebrating

All good wishes my friend
to you

from me ♥
