The loveliest wish is to wish
for an ordinary day
where a Wednesday would usually be my day to write
today instead
I sat with my love to morning coffee
and he made me laugh
almost to tears
then together, we got down to some necessary financial business
(the yucky stuff of life)
followed by a wander and some
book browsing
where I managed to score two biographies
one Irving Berlin and the other Mary McCarthy
and now we are home
where he is in the kitchen
preparing pizza dough
and I
am basking in
the
glow
of gratitude
of wishes and dreams
and of love
on an ordinary day 💗🙏
