Tamara Willems

in stories told…

If someone were to write the story of you,
what do you suppose they would say?

about who you were, how
you were, who you
are?
about who you loved, how
you loved, IF… you
loved
and just who it is
that
loves you
about how you felt, how you
thought
how you see?

I read a lot of biographies, people’s stories
stories
of people
I read them with intrigue, with empathy
and with
interest
I absorb little bits of each one
and often now as I write I think to myself
how
would someone else tell the story of me?

usually much research is done, into things left behind
documents, letters, people who knew
relations who talk…  and families,
that don’t
too I think, don’t we all kind of wonder
just how we are
perceived
we have our own stories of course,
but still,  there are those
who have their own versions
of things and tales
to
tell

a genuineness is what I
am in search of
we all have our facets
our prisms of colour
but what is it we hold at the very centre
of us
at the core, at the heart
what is it you
are
made
of

how do you learn, love
adjust
how do you cope
how is it you find your ground
steady your ship
what of life brings you your greatest Joy
where is it you found your triumph
or your
tragedy
and how… do you endure?

do you wonder, do you ask
or do you
tell

and is this then my plan
coming here,
to leave you enough crumbs on the path
to
know…    ♥
